Wet eczema medication
Basically, treatment for wet eczema should be adjusted to the underlying cause. The following are some of the medications that can be an option to cope with wet eczema:
1. Antihistamines
Antihistamine drugs are used to relieve allergic reactions, including allergic reactions that arise to the skin. Therefore, these drugs are usually administered to cope with wet eczema caused by allergic contact dermatitis.
2. Steroids
Steroid group medications, either in capsule form, pills, creams, or ointments, can also be administered to treat wet eczema. The drug works by easing inflammation and is commonly prescribed by physicians for treating wet eczema due to allergic contact dermatitis and irritant, pompholyx, as well as bullous epidermosis.
3. Antibiotics
Antibiotic medications can be administered if wet eczema is caused by bacterial infections, such as impetigo and skin ulcers.
